Q2. Explain how groundwater is recharged? 

Answer- Rain water and water present in the water bodies is percolate into the soil by the process of infiltration and then that infiltrated water accumulated in aquifer deep under the soil and in this way it recharge the groundwater

Q3. There are 10 tube Wells in a lane of 50 houses what could be the  long-term impact on the water table.

Answer- If the 50 houses continuously use the 10 tube Wells water for long time then the ground water would be reduced and the water table also go down

Q4. You have been asked to maintain a garden how will you minimise the use of water.

Answer- To maintain the garden we will use the method of drip irrigation for the the watering to plant and in this way we  reduces the loss of water

Q5. Explain the factors responsible for the depletion of water table.

Answer- Various factors are responsible for the depletion of water table these are as follow 

a) Increased population- the demand of the water has been increased due to increased population.

b) Increasing industries- all industries needs water for their production if industries are increases it increases the consumption of water 

c) Agricultural activity- agriculture for the irrigation process water is is required in more of quantity . So the consumption of water also increases
