Answer -  
  • We should change our habits to become a more environment friendly atmosphere like 
  • We should use paper bags instead of plastic bags
  • Use energy sources like LPG solar energy which do not cause any pollution .
  • Use substance which are recycled or can be reused 
Q2. What would be the advantages of exploiting resources with short term AIMS? 
Answer -  
Exploiting natural resources in short term in have some advantages it take millions of the years for the formation for natural resources and it is not possible to renew them now

Q3. How would these advantages differ from the advantages of using a long term perspective in managing for resources? 
Answer -  
Awareness for the long term resources must last for the generation to come for the short term AIMS must be avoided and our current basic needs can be fulfilled only by awareness 

Q4. Why do you think that there should be equitable distribution of resources? What forces would be working against an equitable distribution of our resources?  
Answer -  
The distribution of natural resources should we quit equitable in all people rich and poor so that all they are benefited from the development of these resources equal distribution of resources of the wastage and misuse of these resources and the poor we also get the chance to benefit for himself and in this way the society will improve

Q5. Why should we conserve forest and wildlife 
Answer -  
We should conserve our forest and wildlife because they are of great value in our life. 
Forest conservation 
  • Forest help in the protection of land and it maintain the the groundwater level 
  • Forest gives us the food products and medicinal plants 
  • Some industries are they depend on the forest for their raw material 
Wild life conservation 
  • Wild animal maintain the balance of forest 
  • Wild animal maintain the food chain balance  
  • They are also help in maintaining the ecological balance
Q 6. Suggest some approaches towards the conservation of forests? 
Answer -  
Some approaches for the conservation forest are as follows 
  • Increases the afforestation 
  • Deforestation should be banned 
  • Protect the wildlife 
  • Protected area should be managed by local people 
  • National park and sanctuary should be form for conserve biodiversity 
  • Hunting should be banned

Q7 . Find out about the traditional system of water harvesting management in your region ? 
Answer -  
There are so many traditional methods are used for the water harvesting and their management preparation of ponds lakes digging of Wells for drinking water purpose canal for irrigation reservoir for electricity formation all the things made by the government for providing the proper drinking water and preparation of electricity
Q8 . Compare the traditional system  of water with the the probable system in hilly mountainous areas for planes or plateau region 
Answer-  In mountain and hilly areas the rain water flow is fast downward so the people have harvesting more water while in plain and plateau region the water flows with slow speed so most of it is percolate down in the soil

Q9 . Find out the source of water in your region locality is water from the sources available to all people living in that area? 
Answer -   
There are mainly two sources of water in a locality 
a) Bore well and        b) Municipality supply of water 
Bore well Is the personal source of water while municipality supply of water is available for everyone but it is generally found in only developed colonies

Q1. What changes would you suggest in your home in order to be environment friendly ?

Answer -  Some changes must be important to your home to make it environmental friendly are
  • We should have a proper drainage system for wastewater 
  • We should not dump the the garbage around the houses 
  • We should avoid  the water and wastage of electricity 
  • Plant more and more trees around our house 
  • We should adopted the sanitary and hygienic method
Q2. Can you suggest some changes in your school which would make it environment friendly ? 
Answer -  
  • We should plant the different shady and fruit trees in school premises 
  • Waste material like pockets papers pencils rappers should be properly thrown into dustbin  
  • We should not waste drinking water 
Q3. We saw in this chapter that there are four main stakeholders when it comes to forest and wildlife which among these should have the authority to decide the management of forest produce why do you think so? 
Answer -  
There are four main stakeholders in the forest region these are 
  • Local people ( tribes,) 
  • Industrialist 
  • Social activators 
  • And forest officers 
Out of these four stakeholders the local people living around the forest should be given the third authority to decide the management of forest produce because they have more knowledge about the natural resources and they know how to conserve the all forest product
Q4. How can you as an individual contribute or make a difference to the management of 
a) Forest and wildlife b) Water resources and c)  Coal and petroleum 
Answer-   
a) Forest and wildlife 
  • Cutting of trees should be controlled 
  • Increases of afforestation 
  • Killing of wild animals should be banned  
  • Management of the forest should be given to the local people 
b) Water resources 
  • Industrial water should not be dumped directly into water bodies 
  • We should avoid the wastage of water repair the leaking taps 
  • We should promoted the methods of rainwater harvesting and construction of cannels 
 c) Coal and petroleum 
  • We should minimise the use of coal and petroleum 
  • We should use CNG and LPG fuel instead of of illusion creating fuel 
  • We should use the renewable sources of energy like solar energy wind energy hydro electricity
Q5. What can you as an individual to reduce your consumption of the various natural resources ?

Answer -  We should do the following activities to reduce the consumption of natural resources 
  • Use the solar cooker instead of other cooking gas 
  • Switching of the electrical appliances whenever not 
  • Close  all tabs when not used 
  • Use more public transport vehicle 
  •  avoid wastage of food
Q6. List five things you have done over the last one week to

Answer -  
a) Conserve our natural resources
  • Plantation of tree trees
  • Limited use of fossil fuel
  • Limited use of water

Q7. On the basis of the issues raised in this chapter what changes would you incorporate in your lifestyle in a move towards a sustainable use of our resources? 
Answer- We would incorporate the three R's in a lifestyle
We should minimise the use of petrol diesel and water we should increases the plantation of trees and also use the the low pollution fuel like a CNG and LPG always use biodegradable products
